Be in Nadir and Mayaeni’s Music Video Oct 2nd

Hey! Come be in our music video!

Early this summer, rock and soul phenoms Mayaeni and Nadir wrote and recorded a hard-charging track called “95 Miles Down the Road” for Nadir’s forthcoming album.

On Sunday, October 2, we’re inviting the sexiest, most energetic people in Detroit to make up the audience for the concert portion of the “95 Miles” music video. That means YOU!

Join us for a late morning video shoot at the legendary PJ’s Lager House, 1254 Michigan Avenue in Corktown, Detroit, Michigan. All you have to do is wear your finest rock show regalia, and party like it’s Friday night!

Meet us at PJ’s at 10:30am. We’ll start shooting the crowd scenes at 11am, and our goal is to finish the concert footage in time for you to kick back with a cold one and enjoy the Lions game at PJ’s.

PLEASE RSVP on Facebook HERE!!

Thanks! See you there!!

Cosmic Slop kicks out the black rock jams in Ann Arbor

By Kent Alexander
Published in the MetroTimes: September 14, 2011

Are you hip to the Detroit rock scene? From an outsider’s perspective it can amaze, huh?

Having said that, the scene’s always been pretty segregated, and you never see too many black faces on local indie or rock show bills, just as it’s rare to see many white kids on local rap shows. But, the organizers of the Cosmic Slop Festival, spearheaded by one Deekah Wyatt, aim to put Detroit’s black rock scene (yes, Detroit’s black rock scene) on a pedestal by kick-starting the area’s first annual Afro-rock concert fest.
