Both Sides of the Groove – Labor Day Weekend in Detroit

If you’ve ever experienced a Nadir show, you already understand. Variety is the spice of life, and we like to add a lot of different flavors to our live performance stew.

On one song we may hit you hard and heavy. The next, smooth and soulful. Then we’ll follow that up with some hot, sweaty dance floor action.

Labor Day weekend 2010 offers a unique opportunity to witness two very different Distorted Soul experiences at two of Metro Detroit’s hottest summer festivals.

Arts, Beats and Eats relocates to Royal Oak this year, and to celebrate the occasion, we’re gonna turn up the volume with a hardcore funk rock power set. Never mind that we’re on the Pepsi Jazz R&B Stage again. Our plan is to pour out a sweet Saturday night special that packs enough power to melt the corrosion off your car battery.

Catch us on Saturday, September 4 at 6:30pm on the Pepsi Stage located on Washington at 6th Avenue in beautiful downtown Royal Oak.

On Labor Day Monday, September 6 at 2:30pm we return to the Detroit International Jazz Festival where we’ll bare our soul and showcase our jazz funk fusion roots at the Mack Avenue Pyramid Stage located on the riverfront in Detroit’s Hart Plaza.

And as an extra added bonus, our afternoon set by the riverside is complete with the tantalizing talents of Hip-Notic Dance Detroit. These lovely ladies will join us on stage for a visual display that will knock your socks off!

So whatever flavor you savor, you can get a taste of what we’re cooking up this Labor Day weekend. Both shows will feature new material from our upcoming album as well as old favorites for your dancing and head banging pleasure. See you then!
